My order of operations now, after getting it wrong a few times: crop and straighten first, then image shadow removal, then colour and contrast last. If you do the colour work first, the shadow tool changes the tonal range under you and you end up redoing it. Sounds obvious, cost me a couple of wasted edits to figure out.
